Since 1967 pharmaceutical technicians of Serbia and Yugoslavia worked within the Organization of medical workers of Serbia as its section and its first president was Mihailo Perić. In 1981 in Vrnjačka spa, the Organization grows into Society of pharmaceutical technicians which elects Nada Jordana to be its president.
Nineties go by in intensive professional work of the Society with great efforts of Nada Mananojlović who, along with other colleagues, expressed the wish for individual work of pharmaceutical technicians. On June 28, 2001, during the inaugural conference, organized at VMA (Military hospital, Belgrade), THE SOCIETY OF PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNICIANS OF SERBIA - /UFTS/ “ST.SAVA” was established.
In the meantime the Society grows into important organization, that with its courses, seminars, educational material managed to become valued in the team of pharmacists and doctor.
The Society helps transferring the information about all professional and scientific subjects that, directly or indirectly, have the influence to the work of this medical profession.
Thanks to the continual efforts to keep their colleagues up-to-date, seminars are organized twice a year. The interest of pharmaceutical technicians for our Society constantly grows and as a result of that today we have about 900 members.
They are mainly from all regional centers of Serbia and employed at public or private pharmacies, other economical and non-economical areas, hospitals, clinics, laboratories, pharmaceutical companies and industries. |
